I just wanted to write a quick note to say how impressed I am with Microsoft’s moves toward fostering a more neutral, pragmatic, productive, ergonomic programming environment for people to work with. It’s only been half a day, of course! 😀 …Of my using these tools, but I didn’t know they existed and were so well integrated until today. I’m pretty impressed so far, and relieved. 🙂 It’s nice to see some things going the right way.
Thanks for the tip! 🙂 For me it was because I wasn’t sudo’ing.
I drove myself bananas because I recklessly concluded that the “-ls” parameter provided to the “find” command could be placed anywhere. But that was wrong.
Anyone have any ideas??? 🙂
I feel like if you are going to monkey with a Linux distribution then the UI should be at least as powerful as the ones that preceded it. Or maybe it’s Gnome’s fault! I don’t know who to blame! But changing the date/time format on the desktop shouldn’t be a puzzle. You can’t even right-click the s***. Nothing happens. 🙂 🙁 >:-( 🙂
I just had to blog about this again. I think I’ve posted about it before, and for all I know everyone on Java-Earth already knows about it, but still. . . .
